How to Beat Rider Fatigue

For motorcycle enthusiasts embarking on those long adventure trips, rider fatigue is among the most significant challenges. This article shares some simple tips that can help riders keep away tiredness after covering long distances.

Eat Right

Before and during the adventure, riders must eat properly. Avoid overeating beforehand and during the trip, eat small quantities but frequently. Avoid carbs, fats, and sugars as they slow down the body during digestion. It’s also important to hydrate, and here, only water is recommended. Also, avoid beverages such as coffee and alcohol, even in small amounts.

Take Breaks

It’s essential to take breaks and stretch a little bit after riding for two hours or so. For those with conditions such as osteoarthritis of knee, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), varicose veins, and other disorders related to sitting down for long, the breaks should be more often to prevent the worsening of the condition.

Company

If possible, don’t go alone. Find a few other bikers who can offer company while hitting the road. And it’s not just other bikers; a companion at the rear can also be a great addition in killing the boredom during the cruise.

These three are some of the ways to beat fatigue and boredom during road trips. It’s also vital to select exciting routes other than the highway to enhance alertness. Also, don’t use the cruise control function, and avoid following vehicles, pass them!
